HTCCA Summer Newletter

While it seems as if the sailing season has only just got going I’m turning my mind to putting together the summer newsletter so I need your contributions.. Please find a little time to write an article on anything to do with cruising catamarans – trips, plans, modifications/improvements made for example (some photos are also most welcome) – and send it to me at editor@htcca.co.uk by 8 June. Don’t forget there’s also the “Quick tips” section to pass on brief advice in a line or two.

Happy sailing (and writing)

Solent bank holiday meet

Solent bank holiday meet 25/26/27 May Newtown Creak IOW

Hello all
I have been trying to find a suitable place to hold a meet over the forth coming bank holiday that has availability for some catamarans, and I have been struggling.
I spoke to the harbour master at New Town creak in the IOW which has 20 mooring bouys so have decided to opt for this.
I believe the nearest eating place is about a mile and a half away so possible barbecue time on the beach.
As I live in the West Country it is very weather dependent for me and a good 22 hour slog.
If you’re thinking of coming please message me and we can get organised.
Thank you for being members of the association.

Please try and make the effort and come along, it’s a beautiful spot with a good sailing club and pubs.

HTCCA WINTER NEWSLETTER 2023

The time for the winter newsletter is fast approaching.  Its interest and usefulness depends on the contributions from members so if you’ve got a sailing experience to share or could write about work completed on your catamaran please get in touch.  There’s also the “Quick tips” item where you can give brief information on books, websites, apps, tools etc that you’ve found useful.  Deadline of 22 December.  Please send articles to me at editor@htcca.co.uk  Word format and jpeg for photos preferred but don’t worry too much – it’s my job to get things ready for the printer.

All the best

Tim
