Welcome to the Heavenly Twins & Cruising Catamaran Association.
OVERVIEW
The HTCCA is an association for all Cruising Catamarans where members regularly get together ashore and afloat to socialize and share their wide range of experiences in all types of Cruising Catamarans. Although most of our members are based in the U.K. we also have members scattered across the oceans of the world.
The HTCCA forms the largest single body of knowledge regarding the construction, repair, use, maintenance and location of these boats and provides members with an almanac of anything that you can do with a small cruising catamaran.
HISTORY
The Heavenly Twins and Oceans Winds Owners Association (HTOWOA as it was then called) was formed in 1983 by owners of boats designed by the UK designer Pat Patterson, to promote and facilitate yacht cruising in sailing catamarans. These very capable small cruising catamarans have proven their ability to go around the harbour or around the World, with many Atlantic crossings and several circumnavigations to their credit.
In 2009 full membership of the Association was extended to owners of all cruising catamarans.
The main channel of communication with and for the membership is the Newsletter – a 3 times a year A5 production that every member receives and through which the body of knowledge is collected, collated, distilled and circulated. A handbook is produced every five years. It is an A5 booklet giving helpful information for Association members.
GOING FORWARD
The association has slowly changed over the years and is welcoming to all with an interest in cruising catamarans of all designs, old and new.
On the web site members have loaded pictures of their boats, there is a list of social events that are planned for the year, and there is a for sale section for boats and equipment as part of the forum. Also we have club items for sale. We are a friendly welcoming bunch, so if you want to get more from the site and the Association, please consider joining us…..
